Back from practice, we had relatively few there because of the day change, only 5 of us.

But all the things we'll be singing on Sunday are familiar to us.

Not much time left before the Christmas stuff takes center stage.

Welcome back, Fritz.  Good that the material was so familiar, with few people there to practice.

I was exhausted and went "to bed" at around 8PM -- putting that in quotes because I knew it wouldn't really be bed for the night.

But I did sleep for awhile, felt better, and now am just relaxing with a couple of games before seriously getting back in bed.

I had the phone next to my bed in case Maureen called, but she didn't, so I guess she's still coming tomorrow and isn't scared off by bad weather.  We had talked about going to eat lunch at around Noon, and then she would take me to a mid-afternoon haircut.

I had to cancel that haircut three weeks ago due to pouring rain, and not having a driver, so I hope to go tomorrow.

Nothing on the agenda here tomorrow. It's Nancy's birthday tomorrow and sometimes she likes to go to the Guadalupe mass at church, but this time she prefers not to go, and I don't think I'll go to it either.

And then since it's Thursday, there's a possibility that we may get take-out turkey dinners afterwards, to bring home and put in my frig.

I hope to finish a longer chapter today.

This evening, we are invited to a private birthday dinner.

They did arrive around 3:15, took the old TV away and now the new TV is there. It  j u s t  fits on the swivel table that Earl built many years ago! Good that I didn't go for a larger TV set. Looks good, but an entirely new remote to learn.

I still have to learn! I know and use the basic

We got the dough for the Italian Christmas cookies done, and it's chilling overnight.

I am curious: what are Italian Christmas cookies?
