a tv series...

Michelle Williams transforms into flame-haired Gwen Verdon on the NYC set of FX's Fosse/Verdon

On Tuesday, Michelle Williams transformed into the late, great Broadway dancer Gwen Verdon on the snowy Manhattan set of Fosse/Verdon, which premieres April 9 on FX.

The eight-part limited series centers on the real-life romantic and creative partnership between Verdon and her second husband, director-choreographer Bob Fosse.

I think Matilda has done it !!
She is finale as tall if not a touch taller than her mom.

She looks lovely.

That's an old picture. It's from last october. Matilda might have grown even more since then!

I know Michelle's petite in height, but I did say years ago Matilda would be taller than her when she was a teenager so I was clearly right about that!

She's got heaths eyes.

wow, that didn't take long.  Never been a fan, but that must have been a really hard decision for her to make after less than a year.

I read somewhere, an interview maybe, that she said one big thing they had in common was that they both had the parent of their child die (grammar??)...takes more than that...says the divorced lady   ::)

Really, over already? Jiminy. Well, Michelle is one of those in the business who doesn't share much of her private life, which is good, so we'll never know the reasons. I hope her daughter wasn't negatively impacted by this issue. Teenagers are not easy to raise, so the less conflict the better. Matilda has been growing up in the shadow of both her parents, and will continue on that path, so it can't be easy for her whatever the living situation is now, or has been. I wish them both well though............ ;D

                                                         ^^^

Well....what can I say ? I won't say "I told you so".....as I was hoping that feeling I had
at the time when I heard she had got married would have been proved wrong.
She has had a few relationships over the last few years...and now even a marriage.
I know she and Heath had broken up....but....he must be hard act to follow.  :(

Hope Matilda is coping with the situation. (((hugs))) to her.

Yeah, she's really having a hard time finding someone she can be happy with, but I really don't think she's trying to replace Heath...I mean think about it, when you break up with someone, even if you still have feelings, you don't want somebody just like them.  Just because his fan base loves him, doesn't mean she still did.  She got out for a reason...not to say she didn't still have feelings, but it's been 10 years.  She's a different person than she was at 25.  But who knows what this marriage did to the kid...

Wow. This comes as a surprise to me - and not, somehow  :-\

When I read she was getting married, I remember thinking: "Why get married so soon?" And now I think: "Why get divorced so soon?" I mean, why not just live together for a while to see if it works out?

We'll never know the reasons, but I can't help but think this marriage felt a bit rushed and risky from the start. Two people who have been through a lot on their own... Still, it mustn't have been an easy decision to make - for both of them.

I wish them all the best. Matilda too.

Oh My!! Does Michelle ever have a ton of roles lined up right now. She's evidently set to play an Abortion activist, Janis Joplin, Christa McAuliffe, an Opera Singer, a CIA agent, and play opposite Jake in a film titled Rio. I don't know about her playing Joplin, honestly, can anyone do that well? I know she likes to 'inhabit' her characters, but Joplin would be a real challenge, unless the film is going to concentrate on Joplin's Life off the stage and out of the recording studio. With a bio-pic, which the Oscar voting group LOVES, she could get a Nom for that role......

Going to be a BUSY few years for her..............GOOD LUCK!!  ;D

I'd love to see that series.
I'm recording it Ing. It has an odd timeline to the story, jumps back and forth quite a bit, YEARS even, but at least it tells you what timeframe the current episode is set in........little crazy to me, but whatever!! I was warned you needed a couple of episodes to GET INTO the story........I agree!!  :o :o :o
