I just listened to it and I got chills.

Help with navigating to the recording of the interview, anyone?

I made a screen capture of where it is in the article:  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/cdm71998/robertamaxwellarticle.jpg
Give me my Romeo; and, when he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.

I just saw it for the third time tonight. The blowing wind and the start of snow outside made the return visit to Brokeback so poignant. I have to say that the performance by Roberta Maxwell still stuns me and is the catalyst for many tears. Her performance is brilliant as is the pacing of that entire section of the film. She deserves an Oscar.

i loved the woman who played Jack's mom. anyone know what she has been in before? i don't know that i've seen her. or noticed.

I haven't had a chance to verify this.......but didn't she play Sean Penn's character's Mom in Dead Man Walking?   Her performance in that was  wonderful as well.

Note that she's also been in 'Philadelphia' and 'Queer as Folk'

I remember Roberta Maxwell from the movie "Popeye". She was so interesting as Olive Oyl's mother. Never knew what had become of her. I did not know it was her until the end credits. Bravo to her.

Linda Cardellini (Cassie) is on Ellen today (Wed. Jan. 18).
... yet he is suffused with a sense of pleasure because Jack Twist was in his dream.

Linda on Ellen wasn't very good.  Would have liked Ellen asking more questions about the movie and her role in it. It was just a fluff piece.

I love the scene when she dances with him!  I watched more carefully the second time and I just loved the way she tried to make eye contact with him!  Also, loved when she put her feet in his lap and he asked her what she was doing!

I think I will see it next week but part of me is scared because I feel like it is just going to continue the obsession and that I should just wait for the DVD!  I have been listening to the music and it just kills me! When you go watch Cassie--some people didn't like her role in the movie but I think it helped to show Ennis' character.  Again, the foot scene is very funny to me!

I really like her role because it shows that no one can fill the void that Jack has left in Ennis' life and it also conveys Ennis' charisma. He touches the lives of everyone. Yes I am obsessed with BBM too (that's why I'm here ;)) . The music haunts me in my car, at work and home. The script and book are on the night table-not that i am reading it at this point but I like having it there. Did I say that i have the 27 x 40 DS poster? Haven't framed it yet.

The poster wow!  I think my family would freak!  I already have it as my wallpaper and my screensaver! My 9 year old just doesn't get it! Too bad ER wasn't new tonight--I was looking forward to seeing Linda!--just so I could think about BBM more!
