Listening to NPR today, they said the Nats were the LEAST LIKELY team to make the playoffs, back in March timeframe!! hahahhhahahahahaahaaaaaaaaaaaa, sorta reminds me of how all the 'experts' said Trump would NEVER make the Repub nomination.............we see how THAT worked out.........

As if I need one, but another reason not to root for Houston:

Astros Only 2019 MLB Playoff Team to Not Hold an LGBTQ Pride Event
Houston is an outlier in being the only playoff team to not have a Pride event in 2019.

The Houston Astros, were conspicuous in not having any sort of Pride event this season. The other remaining seven playoff teams all held events for their LGBTQ fans. In fact Houston and the Texas Rangers were the only two teams in all of MLB who did not hold a Pride Event for their fans. The Astros did have a Chick-fil-A Faith and Family Night, however.

As an added bonus with the Astros, star player George Springer was disciplined for using a gay slur when he shouted one at an umpire this season. It was the only discipline in the MLB this season for a player using a gay slur.

Rainbow Pride-Inspired Track Unveiled at Los Angeles City College

The new BETRUE-funded Los Angeles City Track’s pride look launched on Friday, featuring one of the biggest permanent rainbow flags in the world and an Olympian publicly sharing that he’s gay for the first time.

The new rainbow-colored track, funded in part by Nike, welcomes all athletes into sport. Nike’s BeTrue campaign has been doing that for years, and this is the latest extension from a brand that has embraced the LGBTQ community more and more every year. The track was inspired by Gilbert Baker, who created the iconic rainbow flag.

Kerron Clement, a two-time Olympic gold medalist in track and field, was on hand and shared publicly for the first time that he’s attracted to men. “I was hiding that part because of what society thought,” he told Outsports. “But it’s OK to be that way. Nothing is wrong with loving someone of the same gender. Love is love. I have an attraction to men. It’s who I am and it’s what made me become the athlete I am today.”
