There is always a use for the downed trees, especially if they didn't fall on anything important!!

Finally catching up in this thread!

We're safe and sound, no trees down immediately near us, though three blocks over a tree fell, though parallel to the houses and street, so apparently no major damage, as far as I could see. When I came home from work today, they were still removing it, having been working at it since sometime yesterday.

Amazingly, we didn't lose power either this time, the electricity just blipped a couple of times, but nothing to even make resetting the clocks necessary.

Glad you got through it OK, Tony, I was wondering about how you did.

And thanks for the pics, Chuck! Glad you didn't suffer any damage at your house.

And you can be glad that you live in NH rather than in VT, Donna!

Werd ich zum Augenblicke sagen, "Verweile doch! Du bist so schön..."

Goodness...an entire month, and no posts of weather here?   Oh well, considering what we've been through this year, that's a good thing!

Not to worry, I will have some  pics of the fall foilage soon.  Noticed tonight several trees are starting to show some color.  Not sure just what to expect with the dry, hot summer we had here.

Then of course there will be ice and snow pics soon.   Not looking forward to driving in that crap, but it does make for some nice pics.

It has been hot here, Charlie. Back to cool for the weekend and rain next week.

Well, Prince Harry escaped the dreary snow.  He's over here in the warm weather, practicing helicopter stuff.  You need a similar excuse, Sue  :)......

Snow in the mountains out here in northern California, Sue. The ski resorts love it.

Snow on Mt Washington (NH) and I'm expected to get down to 20 degrees tonight.

It's 60 degrees in the house and I refuse to turn the heat on until after Halloween!

Hey!!!! What's all this talk here about snow already????   Can't have no snow talk until we get the fall color pics out of the way first!

Here is a set I took just yesterday evening, in my immediate neighborhood.   I was surprised with the amount of color, with the dry summer we had.  Also, it is about a week to 10 days early compared to previous years.
